The Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra was established in 2002 by Malcolm Goodman MBE, who was then serving as a Royal Air Force musician, and on retirement from the RAF was subsequently appointed as Music School Manager at Uppingham School.
In addition to its regular local professional players, the orchestra now includes instrumentalists from many of the UK's major orchestras, including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
Having performed over 100 concerts around the region with various local choral societies, with its regular concerts at Lincoln Cathedral the Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra is now regarded as the county's premier fully professional chamber orchestra.
