The Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra was established by Malcolm Goodman MBE, and performed its first concert in Sleaford on 18 May 2002. However, subsequent popularity and enquiries from other Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire based choral societies has widened the orchestra's development to become the county's premier professional chamber orchestra, with performances now taking place throughout the region.
In addition to its regular local professional players, the orchestra now attracts instrumentalists from many of the UK's major orchestras, including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philhramonic Orchestra.
